Did you know that Nancy Cantrell lost her dear Mother at the tender age of five, and can remember seeing her Mother get buried in her wedding dress? Did you know that Nancy Cantrell grew up in Bloomfield CT. and had the best of friends? Did you know that at the age of 18 Nancy had her first baby girl with her high school sweetheart who she is still with today? Did you know that Nancy Cantrell's third child, second son, was born with one live kidney, had his first surgery at six months old, and Doctors said he was not going to live past two weeks or walk if he did? Do you know that not only is 16 years old, but that he could walk, run, and get on his mother's nerve, but still remind her everyday that she sees him he was her miracle baby? Did you know that at the age of 29 that Nancy Cantrell was diagnose with Lymphoma Cancer stage 2 by herself, when Doctors continue to tell her it was a cold until she couldn't lay down and breath at night, that's when they decide to tell her six months later she had cancer? Did you know that after the Chemo and Radiation, PET scans, all poison to the body she was told she will never be able to have any more children and she was ok with that just to know she can still be alive for her kids, yet 2 years after her treatments she had her fifth child, fourth son, who Doctors said could not be possible? Did you know that Nancy body began to get weak, blurry vision, weak legs, cracked teeth, pneumonia not once, twice, but three times landing her in the hospital? Did you know that Nancy had to live in shelter in NY because she lost her job after they found out she had cancer and became a liability, so she and her family can go there and in four months time after, trains, buses, walks, appt.s they can come back with their heads held high because they did what they had to do to survive, and she did what she had to do to give her kids, a roof over their heads, and food on their table? Betcha didn't know that now, at peace with the terms she has to live with knowing, that she is now on the waiting list to go to heaven, but she smiles, because she was able to always do what she dreamt about when she was little, to be an author of her books, to be a mother to her five children, to be a wife til death do them part to her husband......Did you know Nancy Cantrell???
